STARO Clothing was born in Spring 2005. With the simple idea that new rising stars shine every
day. Why not create one of our own? Upon moving to the fast paced city of New York leaving the
beach living of Miami behind her, Patricia was determined to find a happy medium. One thing
however was consistent in each city, young entrepreneurs where creating movement. Young
motivated adults were stirring the cities. The were always moving; from meetings with
established companies, new clients, driving, walking, riding buses and subways, with hardly any
time to go home for the second half of their days. She had heard the complaints of her peers
too often. They always had to carry a change of clothes with them because they were in so many
varied environments throughout the day and into the late night. This posed a question to be
answered; Can professional clothes be comfortable, affordable, functional and show a keen
sense of individuality for a young person? It can and it would. Gaining inspiration from the
streets of New York, South Beach and Paris she began sketching and creating a unique image.
Merging her knowledge of art history and fashion with fresh graphic design elements a look was
born. ASTARO is clothing for the young professional, a look they can wear throughout the day
meeting clients or into the night for after-work functions and networking. Stars are born every
day; ASTARO is another one of those stars.
